Gutsy’s Asset Test is a structured way to predict how your AI-lookalike Audience will respond to a set of creative assets, such as ads, social posts, mockups, or packaging. It helps you understand which ideas will attract attention, drive action, or feel most aligned with your brand.
This article walks you through how to set up and run your first Asset Test.
1. Go to Standard Studies
From the main menu, click Standard Studies and choose Asset Test.
2. Set Up the Study
Enter the basic details:
Name your study so it's easy to identify.
Select an Audience from your existing AI-lookalike Audiences.
(Coming Soon) Choose the goal you want the AI to evaluate against (e.g. purchase intent). These shape how each asset is evaluated.
3. Upload and Organize Assets
Option 1: Upload a PDF or PowerPoint File and Select Assets from It
This is the fastest way to test creative from a presentation or pitch document. But Gutsy needs to extract only the elements that you want to test, so irrelevant content in the document doesn’t skew testing.
To use this option:
Click Upload File and select a PDF or PowerPoint file (.pdf, .ppt, or .pptx).
Gutsy will automatically extract each slide or page as an individual visual element.
A preview panel will appear showing the extracted slides. Use the checkboxes to select only the pages you want to extract the assets from.
Gutsy will then extract the images and text from each selected page. If needed, you can:
Rename each asset for easier tracking (e.g. ‘kitchen scene’, ‘family shot’)
Reorder them using drag-and-drop so they are grouped as the individual assets you want to test and based on your preferred sequence
Remove any elements from the document that aren’t relevant ad might skew testing
Option 2: Upload Individual Text and/or Image Assets Manually
This method is ideal when you want to hand-pick the assets to test, especially if they’re still being drafted or stored as separate files.
To use this option:
Click + Add Asset button to create containers for the number of assets you want to test.
Give each text asset container a unique label so you can compare them easily in the results.
For each Asset container, you can add images and/or add text.
Click + Add Image to add a PNG or JPG.
Click + Add Text to create a text-based asset. Use this for testing headlines, taglines, value propositions, positioning statements, or copy blocks.
Use drag-and-drop to arrange your asset containers in the order you want them evaluated.
Review your list to ensure all desired content is included and named correctly.
4. Run the Study
Once everything’s ready, click Run Study.
Gutsy will use your selected AI-lookalike Audience to evaluate the assets based on the goal you chose and deliver a ranked report in seconds.
5. Explore the Results
