AI-lookalike Audiences are the starting point for every prediction in Gutsy. They represent the group of people you want to hear from—and can be as broad (e.g. general population) or as specific (e.g. employees, regional communities, niche interest groups) as your work requires.

How to Create a New Audience

  • Go to the Audiences in the menu

  • Click Create Audience in the top-right corner

Choose how you'd like to build it:

  • Use AI assistance – Gutsy will generate a draft of the audience details based on your short description

  • Start from scratch – Build your own manually based on your existing personas or research

What to Include

You'll be asked to fill out the following fields:

  • Title – Give the audience a name that you’ll use to select them for any study (e.g. Chicago Healthy Millenials)

  • Demographics – Age range, gender, and other relevant traits

  • Type – Label the audience as consumer, influencer, employee, media, or another type

  • Profile – A detailed description of who this audience is

  • Interests – A comma-separated list of interests (e.g. fitness, sustainability, local food, personal finance)

  • Additional context (optional) – Add anything you'd like Gutsy to consider when interpreting messages, like behavioral patterns, preferences, or communication style notes

The more specific and realistic the input, the more useful the predictions.

After You Save

Once saved, your AI-lookalike Audience will appear in the Audiences tab and will be available for use in both custom and standard studies. You can return to edit or duplicate it at any time.

Tip: You don’t have to get it perfect the first time. Start with what you know and refine your audience as your project evolves.
